Harrison Phillips, CFA

Harrison Phillips, CFA is a Vice President in the Consumer & Retail investment banking group at Stifel and has spent the past 6+ years focusing on and specializing in the legal cannabis industry. Prior to joining Stifel in November 2019, Mr. Phillips was Vice President of Viridian Capital Advisors, a boutique investment banking and advisory firm dedicated to the legal cannabis industry. In this role, he worked on various capital markets and advisory assignments for clients across the legal cannabis ecosystem. Mr. Phillips also created and led Viridian’s data collection and analysis projects, the Viridian Cannabis Deal Tracker and Viridian Cannabis Stock Index, as well as Viridian’s market research and valuation assignments. In these activities, Mr. Phillips monitored, catalogued, and analyzed capital markets activity and stock performance of companies in the cannabis industry segmented into 12 cannabis subsectors that he was instrumental in designing. Mr. Phillips has been interviewed by several industry and mainstream media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Fortune, CNBC, and TheStreet, among others. Mr. Phillips has also spoken on cannabis markets and investment trends at more than a dozen events, including assisting the CFA Society of New York in hosting its first cannabis industry event.
