Mary Duke is an internationally recognized advisor to families navigating the complexities of substantial wealth. Her work is typically anchored in the facilitation of family meetings and strategic planning for family-owned enterprises, private trust companies and family offices. She works with families to develop learning and decision-making systems that equip them for our rapidly changing future and she provides coaching and mentoring for family members around the world. She has an outstanding track record of helping families improve patterns of interaction, restore relationships and accelerate results across the family system.
She is known for her deep expertise on the impact of trusts on families and her work in generational transition in family enterprises. Trained in family systems and mediation, she has an excellent track record helping family members navigate conflict, collaborate more effectively and leverage the effective use of governance. She is a writer and international speaker on the topic of wealth in families and has conducted next generation and family retreats in Europe, Latin America, Asia, the Middle East and the United States.
Previously, Mary headed two private family offices involving prominent families and later, as the head of a leading bank’s wealth management division, spearheaded their award-winning family wealth program. She is a licensed attorney and accountant and has served tours of duty in private client law and business consulting. Mary lives with her husband Richard near New York City and they have three adult children.
