Perry Offutt
Perry Offutt is a Managing Director at Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (“MIRA”). He has 18 years of transaction experience with a focus on infrastructure. He joined MIRA in 2014 from Morgan Stanley and has responsibility for deal origination and execution. Perry also is on the Board of Directors of Aquarion Water Company. At Morgan Stanley, Perry served as Head of Infrastructure Banking for the Americas and was responsible for the origination and execution of infrastructure transactions totaling over $160 billion across various industry verticals including transportation, energy and power/utilities. In that role, Perry was lead financial advisor to clients such as Citizens Energy on its $2 billion acquisition of the Indianapolis water and wastewater systems and Puget Energy on its $7.9 billion sale to a Macquarie-led consortium. He was part of the team leading Scottish Powers’ $10 billion sale of PacifiCorp to MidAmerican and PSEG’s attempted $27 billion merger with Exelon Corp. Perry has published several articles on public-private partnerships in the Journal of Applied Corporate Finance. He has testified on developing and financing infrastructure before both the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, and the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. Perry holds a B.A. from Duke University where he graduated magna cum laude and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
