Barbara Novick
Barbara Novick is co-founder and vice-chair of BlackRock, a $4.5 trillion money manager headquartered in New York. Currently, she is a member of the BlackRock global executive and global operating committees and chair of its government relations steering committee. In addition to co-founding BlackRock in 1988, Novick headed its global client group—overseeing business development, marketing and client service—until 2008. She began her career in finance with Morgan Stanley in 1982, moving to First Boston Corporation to head its portfolio products team. Novick is a member of CFA Institute Future of Finance Advisory Council and a graduate of Cornell University.
