Global Asset Owner Series Federation of CFA Societies
CFA Institute Member Societies that have a critical mass of both members and asset owner organizations domiciled in their franchise service territories may join the Global Asset Owner Series (AOS) Federation of CFA Societies.
Societies that join the Federation will have access to a global volunteer team comprised of over 400 volunteers around the world who can be called upon to secure local and cross-border asset owner speakers and the local venue for the Global AOS event at their local Society. Collectively, the global volunteer team has relationships with senior level investment professionals at thousands of asset owner / investment consultant organizations (speakers) and asset manager / sell-side organizations (hosts). The local Society always decides the time / date of the event, in addition to the topics the asset owners speak about.
The format is the asset manager or sell-side host delivers a 3-5 minute welcoming remarks, a Society representative delivers 3-5 minute opening remarks and introduces the asset owner keynote speaker. Once the keynote speaker concludes their address, the Society representative then introduces the investment consultant (or asset owner association representative) moderator, who then introduces the panel of asset owners. Once the panel concludes, a Society representative delivers the closing remarks and the reception begins.
Societies who receive approval to join the Federation will be entitled to assistance for one event per year. If your Society would like to learn more about the Federation, please reach out directly to either CFANY CEO, Daniel Dagen, CFA ([email protected]), or Thomas Brigandi, the Global Asset Owner Series Founder, at [email protected].
Since the end of 2015, the Series has hosted chief investment officers, deputy chief investment officers and other C-Level investment executives from sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, single family offices, multi family offices, endowments, foundations, private banks, national pensions, corporate pensions, institutional investment consultants, public pensions and union pensions that collectively have over $38 trillion in assets under management or advisory.
