Group Description

The Sustainable Investing Thought Leadership Group provides a forum to advance the dialogue around the role of sustainable investing (SI) in today’s markets. Programs focus on current SI issues, including those related to fiduciary responsibility and risk management. Members seek to identify the challenges and rewards of incorporating environmental, social, and governance factors in security analysis.

Tracey Cameron, Senior Manager, Corporate Climate Engagement at Ceres

Tracey joined Ceres in 2019 to develop and execute Ceres’ organizational strategy for advancing the Carbon Asset Risk campaign. Prior to joining Ceres, Tracey was at Fidelity Investments where she provided voting analysis and recommendations for the Fidelity funds and engaged with portfolio companies on environmental, social and governance issues across sectors with particular focus on companies operating in the energy and materials sectors. Tracey played an integral role in launching the Fidelity ESG Office, working across the enterprise to raise awareness of material ESG issues to the investment process. Earlier work in fixed income spanned a range of asset managers and roles in data analysis, trading and syndicate. Read More

Francis Byrd has 20 years of experience in the corporate governance and ESG fields possessing a wide perspective on the goals and motivations of institutional investors and corporate issuers. Francis has held responsible positions with top institutional investors (TIAA, the Connecticut Retirement Plans & Trust Funds and the NYC Pension Funds); assessed governance quality at North Americas largest companies on behalf of bondholders and creditors (at Moody’s Investors’ Service) and advised corporate public issuers on how to respond to and engage with activist investors, ESG advocates, shareholder proponents and proxy advisor firms (at proxy solicitation/shareholder communications firms The Altman Group and Laurel Hill Advisory).
