How do CEOs and other senior leaders manage their firms, implement business strategies and think through key strategic challenges?

There are no perfect solutions, but there are time-tested frameworks. CFA Institute and Harvard Business School’s (HBS) Investment Management Workshop is designed to explore these issues with global peers, C-level guest speakers, and leading HBS professors.

We are pleased to present a panel moderated by George E. Austin that will bring together Professor Luis M. Viceira (Senior Associate Dean, HBS Executive Education and faculty co-chair of the Investment Management Workshop, Governor (Public) of FINRA, and manager of the Sovereign Wealth Fund of Norway), Brian Hellmer, CFA (Deputy CIO Equities, State of Wisconsin Investments Board), Ross Cuddeback, CFA (Head of Risk, Deutsche Asset Management), and Kei Yamamoto, CFA (Director of Investments, Casey Family foundation), who all attended the 49th annual CFA-HBS Investment Management Workshop in June 2017.

Participants in decision-making roles will benefit from the panelists’ perspectives on a range of strategic issues including:

  • When will industry consolidation slow down?
  • How will Indexing evolve and where does Smart Beta go from here?
  • Is there a perfect Investment Process for institutional asset owners?
  • What is the role of Alternatives in portfolios?
  • Are there asset classes that cannot be replicated as ETF solutions?

Cocktail reception will follow the panel to allow for informal conversations with the panelists and fellow guests. This event is sponsored by CFA Institute in partnership with HBS.
