Description

Entering its third post-Soviet decade, Russia has authored economic narratives centered on spectacular growth, with a rising middle class, maturing finance sector and booming oil and gas export. Now, defiant despite heavy condemnation from the West, Russia is facing the threat of a sanctions-induced recession and economic near-isolation. Our Russian and Central and Eastern European Capital Market program will examine if the 2014 Crimean crisis and its ongoing diplomatic fallout will bring enduring setbacks to the Russian financial markets as well as investigate the potential of the developing CEE.
