Description

The World Economic Forum reported a trillion-dollar gap in infrastructure spending globally.  In America, a country facing what has been termed a legitimate infrastructure crisis, government spending on transportation, energy, water and wastewater, and social infrastructure, has hit a 20-year low despite a call by U.S. President Barack Obama to create a federal infrastructure bank that would provide funding for badly needed projects.

Infrastructure—be it transportation infrastructure such as roads, bridges and airports, or “midstream” energy like pipelines—is vital for national economic prosperity, supporting goods, services and the workforce.  But in the U.S. as well as worldwide, public funding to build and repair infrastructure is scarce, resulting in the need for private capital and creating opportunities for long-term investors in “real” assets. At the same time, the intersection of technology and business drivers will possibly shape the momentum towards a changing investment climate in the coming years.

CFANY’s 4th Annual Global Infrastructure conference will once more bring together leading executives, analysts, portfolio managers and investors in thought-provoking discussions on both the long term and near term outlook for the infrastructure industry with multiple panels across Power, Oil & Gas, Water, Transport and emerging markets’ infrastructure. The panels and keynote addresses will explore sectorial themes as they relate to project pipelines and deal flow in 2017, breakdown of financing and funding tools and upcoming opportunities with the ever-shifting legal and political landscape worldwide. Join the speakers and network with 200 industry professionals to discuss the global infrastructure deficit, the market appetite for public-private investment in infrastructure and how infrastructure assets can benefit institutional portfolios.
