At the beginning of 2020, BlackRock Chairman and CEO Larry Fink wrote in his annual letter to CEOs that investors were underestimating the investment risks posed by climate change and that we are on the edge of a fundamental reshaping of finance. He also stated that sustainability would be the new standard for investing at BlackRock.

In addition, BlackRock’s financial relief efforts spanned the globe with a focus on supporting frontline responders and food banks.
