COVID-19 Mandates — What to Expect

CFA Society New York will comply with public health mandates and guidelines from the CDC, New York State and New York City. To attend the 2021 Annual Dinner, all registrants and guests must:

  1. Agree to the COVID-19 Notice and Release document. The Notice and Release is a component of the registration terms and conditions for the 2021 Annual Dinner.
  2. Attest to their health and recent travel status. A link to complete this attestation will be sent to registrants the week prior to the Dinner. Registrants who do not complete the attestation electronically prior to the Dinner will be required to do so at the check-in table for the event.
  3. Provide proof of vaccination in compliance with New York City’s COVID-19 mandates, which go into effect on August 16.

Per the New York City vaccination mandate, methods for providing proof of vaccination status (at least one dose administered) include the following:

Please note that the specifics concerning all related event-attendance requirements and NYC mandates are subject to change, and we encourage all prospective guests to regularly check this page—and the city’s official coronavirus page—for updates. The city has stated that additional written guidance is forthcoming, likely the week of August 16.

Any prospective guest or registrant who fails to fulfill any of the above requirements will be prohibited from attending.

Attendance & Registration Considerations

Possible Attendance Limitations and Related Refund Policy

CFA Society New York and our host venue, Mandarin Oriental New York, may be forced to limit attendance based on possible social-distancing related official updates and requirements.

CFA Society New York reserves the right to void any individual’s registration ticket, if necessary, in order comply with any such requirements and avoid exceeding any NYC-imposed or venue-imposed attendance limitations.

Any individual subject to voided registration will have their paid registration fees refunded in full.

Individual registrants will be refunded in reverse chronological order—whereby the most recent registrations will be voided and refunded first—until the permissible attendance total has been satisfied.

2021 Annual Dinner Attendance Requirements

To attend the 2021 Annual Dinner, all registrants must be prepared to:

1. Provide PROOF OF VACCINATION, in compliance with New York City’s COVID-19 mandates, which go into effect on August 16.

Acceptable methods for providing proof of vaccination status (at least one dose administered), include the following:

2. Complete the CFA NY provided “ATTESTATION WAIVER”

Any prospective guest or registrant who failed to fulfill any of the above requirements will be prohibited from attending.

New York City Mandates

1. Beginning August 16, indoor venues must begin checking for vaccination status

  • This requirement* will apply to both customers and employees, and city enforcement (i.e., city inspection of businesses for compliance) will begin September 13.

2. Proof of vaccination status (at least one dose administered) can be provided via the following free options:

* Some adults have received or are eligible for exemptions that would allow them to forgo vaccination. The city has not yet announced whether people in this category will be permitted to participate in indoor actives at venues mandated to require proof of vaccination.
