The 23rd Annual Insurance Conference will discuss the performance of the insurance sector, as well as the challenges faced by the presenting insurance companies in meeting their liabilities, especially in the face of natural disasters. Panelists will additionally debate whether secular trends, rather than cyclical forces, dampen the sector’s outlook.

EverQuote, Inc. (EVER) operates an online marketplace for insurance shopping in the United States. The company’s online marketplace offers consumers shopping for auto, home, and life insurance quotes. It serves carriers, agents, financial advisors, and indirect distributors and aggregators.

FBL FINANCIAL GROUP, INC.

FBL Financial Group, Inc. (FFG) underwrites and markets life insurance and annuities to individuals and small businesses through its Farm Bureau Life subsidiary. The company markets its products through a core distribution force of approximately 1,862 exclusive Farm Bureau agents in 15 Midwestern and Western states.

FedNat Holding Company (FNHC) underwrites homeowners, commercial general liability, and flood insurance products through independent agents in Florida and other states. The company is exiting its legacy auto business.

Hallmark Financial Services, Inc. (HALL) underwrites commercial, personal, and general aviation insurance, as well as providing other insurance related services.

HEALTH INSURANCE INNOVATIONS

Health Insurance Innovations, Inc. (HIIQ) develops, distributes and administers affordable individual health and family insurance plans and supplemental products, which include short-term medical insurance plans and guaranteed-issue and hospital indemnity plans.

Independence Holding Company (IHC): Independence Holding Company (IHC) underwrites, markets, and/or administers life and health insurance business for its owned and affiliated carriers, and for non-affiliated insurance companies. ProAssurance Corporation (PRA) is a specialty insurance company with extensive expertise in medical professional liability, products liability for medical technology and life sciences and legal professional.

UNITED INSURANCE HOLDING CORPORATION

United Insurance Holding Corporation (UIHC), through UPC Insurance, distributes homeowners, dwelling fire and flood insurance products through agents in 18 states. The company completed a merger with American Coastal Insurance Company Holding, which further expanded its commercial presence.
