On Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Dear CFA Society New York Members and Colleagues,

We are all mindful of the challenges we are facing. Our industry, our firms and our families need us now more than ever.

You may have noticed, like so many other organizations, we have postponed several events, including the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Financial Analysts Journal. There will be more postponements to come.

We take the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) seriously. Our employees are educated, equipped and encouraged to work remotely. We are bolstering our business continuity plans and will remain in regular communication with our volunteer community and counterparts.

Fortunately, most of our content is already provided virtually via livestream and on-demand. For a listing of our upcoming livestreamed events and scheduled conferences, click here. You may access our previously recorded conference content here.

Our leadership interest groups will be keeping their vital membership communities connected via videoconferencing and other means. If you are not a member of those communities, please get involved. Your voice would be welcome.

Many of you may remember well that CFA Society New York – formerly known as the New York Society of Security Analysts – was housed in the World Trade Center when it collapsed. Since then, we have persevered through hurricanes, several citywide blackouts, and the financial crisis. Before then, we endured a World War and were born out of the Depression.

Yes, this is different, but together we will pull through in the months ahead.

For the benefit of your health, your family’s health and that of your companies, we will continue providing relevant society updates right here on our website. Furthermore, if you are not already regularly tracking the following resources, we encourage you to do so:

We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Sincerely,
